Meet ~Baby Jay~

| We had the unique experience of raising a baby blue jay for a week! Baby Jay is the ugliest, CUTEST, snuggliest little bird you ever did see and everyone quickly fell in love with him. Wasn't long at all before he'd hop right in your hand to be petted and cooed at. Now... before you bird lovers out there get your dander up because we didn't LEAVE IT ALONE, please just believe me without having me type the whole story that we had very good reasons to believe he wasn't being fed on the ground and that he wasn't going to live long at all unless we stepped in. AND... we found a licensed professional to take over and legally raise him for us. That said, we miss the little guy but we're sure glad he paid us a visit! |

This is a few days after we took him in under our wing. When he left for his new home, he already had grown so much and his feathers were filling in quite nicely.
